Domestic violence and stalking
Protection against violence
The Austrian law provides counters to the various forms of violence in a relationship by protecting a victim from an aggressor by
- prohibition of entry by an aggressor to a home
- removal orders of an aggressor from a home
- prohibition in order to prevent the return of an aggressor to the home and
- injunctions against stalking
which can be issued in a particularly quick procedure by means of temporary injunctions.
The following can be considered as protective measures in the so-called "stalking injunction"
- Prohibition of personal contact and prohibition of persecution
- prohibition of contact
- Prohibition of residence
- Ban on the disclosure and processing of personal data and photographs
- Ban on ordering goods or services from a third party using personal data; and
- Prohibition of inducing a third party to contact the endangered party.
